You wouldn't think it, but Neopia can be a pretty sickly place sometimes! With diseases ranging from Grumbles to Bloaty Belly roaming the streets, chances are that at some point your Neopets will fall ill. Whether you rely on the standard pharmacy, more alternative medicines, or the Healing Springs, there's something for every pet.

Neopets Healing Springs is a free source of healing that is offered for your Neopets. Neopets Healing Springs depends of the abilities of the Faerie Queen when you visit her. You can happen to get your Neopets fully healed just like each of them can only earn three points. The Daily Neopets Item Database is a complete items database with information about Neopets colors, emotions, weapons icons, and more. Healing Springs - Neopets Item Database Toggle Navigation. The healing springs is a location in Neopia that can either heal your neopets for free, or you can purchase a variety of potions for healing yourself in and out of the battledome. Free Healing As mentioned above, the healing springs will give you one free heal every 30 minutes.
Diagnosing Your Pet
So, you think your pet is sick? Well there's an easy way to check! You can tell whether not pets are sick by their emotions or by visiting the Quick Ref page. If your pet is sick, you will see a message about what illness they have. This message will also include a handy link to the Neopian Hospital where you can view a list of all diseases, as well as fun descriptions about them.
Where to Buy Medicine
Once you know what disease your pet has, the next step is purchasing the proper medication. Check the table in the next section (known cures) to see what type of medication to purchase. All of these items are sold in either the Neopian Pharmacy, Lost Desert Medicine, or Remarkable Restoratives in Shenkuu. You can also visit the Shop Wizard and purchase the items from fellow Neopians.
Once you've purchased an item, simply select 'cure' from the dropdown menu in your inventory to give it to the appropriate pet.
Healing Strategies
If the medicine your pet needs is too expensive, don't worry. You have several options that don't involve buying the cures listed below. If you are stingy like me, your best bet is to visit the Healing Springs every 30 minutes, free of charge, until your pet is healed. Another avenue is the Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity but it is only available once a day & the healing rate is very low.
If you're in a hurry, though, there's an option that doesn't involve the wait of the Healing Spring. You can actually give your pet a different disease that's cheaper to cure - check out our items that give diseases article for a list of items you can use. We recommend feeding your pet a Poisonous Lollypop. It's extremely cheap and will give your pet Floppy Tongue, which can be healed with a Tongue Shrinker. Please note that you are not guaranteed to come down with Floppy Tongue on the first try - you may need to feed your pet several lollypops before it works!

Hit Point Restorers
Some items, although labeled as medical cures, will not actually cure your pet of an illness. Rather, these items are out-of-battledome healers, similar to Healing Potions. Glitched Items
The following items are clearly intended to cure a specific ailment based on their name and/or description yet for some reason they are glitched. With the rise of the new battledome, Faerie abilities and blessings have been revamped! Here you will everything you need to know about these new powers, and how you can get them!
Abilities |
---|
Abilities: Level 1 - Level 5 - Level 10 - Level 25 - Level 50 - Level 100 - Level 200 - Level 300 - Level 400 - Level 500 |
How to Use Faeries and Abilities
Step 1: Get bottled faeries
First, you need to obtain a bottled faerie. There are four ways to get bottled faeries:
- Buy bottled faeries from the Magic Shop
- Win them as rewards from the battledome
- Win them as prizes from certain games
- Combine three different types of Fading Bottled Faerie essences to create one Weak Bottled Faerie at the Cooking Pot
Step 2: Bless your pet with bottled faeries
To bless your pet, simply select your desired Bottled Faerie from your inventory, and choose which pet you wish to bless.
The Blessing |
---|
Upon releasing this faerie from her bottle, she grants 'Name' the following blessings: Element (fire, water, air, earth, light or dark): 1 These are not usually worth the 400 NP that was spent, however; with a whole collection of free ones here, you won't have to go spending your precious, hard earned NP on getting them.Prizes. Neopets wheels. 'Take your blessings to Aethia and train your abilities for use in the Battledome!', she says. The faerie vanishes in a puff of smoke and is gone! |
Weak Bottled Faeries grant 1-2 blessings of their respective elements. Unidentifiable Bottled Faeries grant blessings randomly among the 6 elements.
Step 3: Train your abilities
Visit Aethia's Ability Academy to spend your blessings on training abilities. Here, you can see how many blessings you have for each element and what abilities are available to you.
You can purchase abilities with the blessings. The cost of the ability is displayed on the right side of the ability icon. To purchase an ability, make sure your desired pet is selected at the top. The selected pet is slightly larger than the others. (In the example above, the Uni is selected.) Then, click on the icon of the ability or abilities you would like to purchase. Then, scroll down and click 'Train These Abilities.' Aethia will train your selected pet in the selected abilities, and they'll be ready for you to use in the Battledome!
Abilities are arranged in tiers according to levels. If your pet is above the level requirement, the ability will be available for you to train. You can click on a locked tier to see what abilities are available, but you will not be able to train them.
You can train your pet in one ability per tier. (This means you can only learn one ability per level group.) If you wish to learn a different ability in the same tier, simply choose it and train it; you will however 'unlearn' your old ability. Once your pet is trained in an ability in a certain tier, the other abilities are available for training at half the original cost.
Step 4: Use the abilities in the Battledome
Next, all you need to do is use the abilities in the Battledome! Just select an ability to use with your weapons and click 'Fight!' Scroll down or click here to see what each of the abilities do.
